Fall 2007:

Leadership Theories and Research (PSYC 9630)

Instructor: Dr. Roni Reiter-Palmon

This class will provide a range of perspectives in leadership theories and research. The class will follow a seminar format. Students should read the assigned articles before class time and be prepared to discuss and critique them. To assure smooth discussion each student will be responsible for the preparation of discussion questions. Please contact the instructor for more detail information.

Spring 2007:

Principles of Collaboration (BSAD 8916-001 / ISQA 8080-004)

Instructor: Dr. Robert O. Briggs

This course will focus on several aspects in collaboration including creative problem-solving, collaboration technologies, leadership, facilitation, collaboration engineering and collaborative workplace design.

Facilitation of Coll Problem Solving with Groupware (ISQA 8080-002)

Instructor: Dr. Gert-Jan de Vreede

This course teach you how to design and facilitate workshops in which groups of stakeholders collaboratively solve problems or define actions. You learn how to help groups get work done. You learn both the theoretical backgrounds and practical application of facilitation. The core of the course is very practical: A number of proven facilitation techniques that are broadly applicable are taught and practiced in a number of workshops that you have to facilitate yourself. The course also teaches you to use state-of-the-art groupware tools that support collaboration in workshops. More detailed information can be found in the syllabus.

Facilitation of Coll Problem Solving with Groupware (ISQA 8080-001)

Phd Program in Collboration Field:

The Institute for Collaboration Science can facilitate prospective students who are interested in doing a doctoral work in collaboration field. There are currently several Phd programs at the University that can accomodate research on collaboration area. Those programs include Phd in Information Technology from College of Information Science and Technology and Phd in Psychology from College of Arts and Sciences.
